Today marks a glorious new chapter in the life of Supreme Richard Kanmi Akinbamire, an accountant par excellence, community leader, and social icon, as he adds another year of grace, wisdom, and impact.
Born and bred in Ondo, Rt Hon. Akinbamire began his academic journey at St. Stephen’s Primary School, before proceeding to the prestigious St. Joseph’s College, Ondo. His pursuit of excellence continued at Ondo State owned Polytechnic, Owo, where he earned both his OND and HND in Accounting, graduating with honours.
Currently serving his second consecutive term as Mayor of the Eminence Club of Ondo, Rt Hon. Richard Akinbamire has distinguished himself as a visionary administrator and transformational leader. Under his watch, the club was duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), attracted numerous diaspora members, and witnessed exponential financial growth. His tenure has rightly earned him the title “Architect of Modern Eminence Club.”
Beyond Eminence, he is a respected member of both the Supreme Club of Ondo and the Elite Club of Ondo, affirming his wide social appeal and leadership influence across platforms.
A man of deep faith, Mayor Akinbamire is a devoted Catholic and active member of Don Bosco Catholic Church, where his lifestyle reflects the virtues of humility, generosity, and unwavering commitment to Christian values.
In the political arena, Rt Hon. Richard Kanmi Akinbamire once served as Councillor representing Ward 11 and rose to become the Leader of the House in Ondo West Local Government. He currently chairs the Iroko Leadership Forum, providing credible and people-oriented leadership at the grassroots.

Happily married to his beloved wife, Tinuke, and blessed with wonderful children, Mayor Akinbamire continues to inspire across generations.
