The leadership and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ward 10, Ondo West Local Government Area, hereby notify the general public and party faithful of the suspension of the Ward Chairman, Mr. Adeolu Ogundele, following a unanimous resolution reached during the ward’s statutory meeting held on Thursday, 22nd May 2025.
This decision was taken after a thorough review of Mr. Ogundele’s conduct, which was found to be in gross violation of the APC Constitution (as amended in 2022)—particularly the Preamble and Article 7, Section 1 (subsections i, viii, xiv)—and in line with the disciplinary provisions outlined in Article 13, Section 12, Subsection (v).
Allegations Against Mr. Ogundele:
Mr. Ogundele is accused of engaging in activities that undermine party unity and tarnish the image of the APC. Specific allegations include:
- Unilateral endorsement of a political office holder without the consultation or consent of ward leadership and members;
- Misrepresentation of the ward in dealings with a sitting senator, including the use of members’ names to solicit funds in support of an unpopular candidate;
- Obstruction of other aspirants from accessing the ward, thereby undermining internal party democracy.
These actions are considered a direct violation of the values and spirit of the APC. Consequently, the Ward Congress resolved to suspend Mr. Ogundele with immediate effect, pending further deliberations and final decision by the Local Government Party leadership.
The meeting was attended by eight ward executives and over 100 party members, all of whom participated in the resolution process.
We call on all party members and stakeholders to remain calm, law-abiding, and trust in the party’s internal mechanisms to uphold justice, discipline, and unity.
