A renewed sense of hope is emerging in Ondo Kingdom, championed by an illustrious son of the soil—Engineer Tope Ogunsulire, popularly known as Apata. Amid growing concerns that the national Renewed Hope agenda is falling short of expectations, Engineer Ogunsulire is inspiring optimism and advocating for a brighter future for the people of Ondo.
A seasoned professional and community-minded leader, Apata has made notable contributions to individuals and communities across Ondo Kingdom. Although he has lived in the United States for decades, his heart remains deeply connected to the challenges and aspirations of his people.
During a recent statement of solidarity, Engineer Ogunsulire expressed deep concern over the daily struggles faced by families in Ondo. He acknowledged the pain of mothers striving to feed their children and the financial burdens weighing heavily on fathers. Yet, in the midst of these difficulties, he offered words of encouragement:
“Keep pushing forward,” he said. “We are a step closer to the promised land where relief and prosperity will return to our people.”
Apata is confident that Ondo Kingdom shall rise again, drawing inspiration from the era when Ondo sons and daughters occupied prominent positions on Nigeria’s political landscape. He fondly recalled:
- Late Chief Alex Akinyele, former Minister of Information
- Prof. Adegbulugbe, former Special Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo
- Mrs. Mobolaji Johnson, former Minister for Communication
- And notably, Dr. Olusegun Rahman Mimiko, who served as Minister of Housing and Urban Development before becoming the first and only son of Ondo origin to govern Ondo State
“These great leaders made Ondo proud,” Apata remarked. “They set a standard of excellence and service that we must now strive to surpass.”
With unwavering belief in the resilience and potential of the Ondo people, Engineer Tope Ogunsulire envisions a time—soon—when Ondo Kingdom will reclaim its place of honor and shine once again on the national stage.
Ondo Kingdom shall rise and shine again.
