In a landmark judgment, the election tribunal has upheld the election of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as the duly elected Governor of Ondo State. The ruling, which validates the mandate freely given by the people, has been widely celebrated as a resounding victory for democracy, justice, and the rule of law.
Reacting to the verdict, HAMVOLUNTEERS—a prominent grassroots support group—praised the tribunal’s decision as a reaffirmation of the people’s will and a strong endorsement of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa has once again demonstrated that true leadership is rooted in resilience, humility, and unwavering dedication to the people,” the group said. “Throughout the legal process, he remained calm and confident, embodying the strength and integrity that characterize his administration.”
HAMVOLUNTEERS also urged the Governor to continue fostering unity across political lines and to redouble efforts toward inclusive development across all parts of Ondo State.
The group further commended the strategic leadership of Hon. Abiola Makinde, Campaign Director-General and Member of the House of Representatives for Ondo East and West Federal Constituency. They noted that his exceptional coordination and commitment contributed significantly to the sweeping victory across all 18 local government areas—an unprecedented achievement in the political history of the state.
To celebrate this judicial affirmation and political milestone, HAMVOLUNTEERS announced plans for a grand celebration to be held soon across the Ondo Central Senatorial District. The date will be officially communicated in due course.
