Hon. Joseph Iranola Akinlaja, a former two-term Member of the House of Representatives for Ondo Federal Constituency and a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has urged Christians to place their hope in God, emphasizing that the celebration of Christ’s resurrection brings renewed hope and fortune.
Speaking yesterday after an Easter church service in his hometown in Ondo State, the oil magnate described the current economic challenges faced by Nigerians as a global issue. He expressed confidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would soon yield positive results. Akinlaja also called on citizens to support the present administration in its efforts to elevate Nigeria’s economic status.
He further advised the government to revisit and improve policies that are currently underperforming, with the aim of delivering better outcomes for the people.
In his Easter message, Akinlaja prayed for all Christians, wishing them a season filled with renewal, hope, and the blessings of spring. “May you all find comfort in the miracle of Easter and strength in its promise,” he said.
To mark the occasion, Hon. Akinlaja later hosted friends and associates at his hotel, fostering unity and rekindling their collective hope for better days ahead.
