Sequel to the meeting of community representatives and ANCOPSS stakeholders on 6th of September and in line with the monitoring tour agreement of both parties mentioned above at the meeting

St Monica’s Girls Grammar school was visited on Tuesday 10th September 2024 our findings are stated below

1. All the authorised collectibles approved by the government was twenty three thousand three hundred naira (#23,300:00) only and that was what the school collects

2. That the school uniform comprising (2pairs of school uniform, a Cardigan, school cap and labour wear) were contracted to seasoned tailors that the parents meet to purchase and the school did not in anyway influence price

3. Based on the recent intervention by the stakeholders, the principal had met with the vendors in line with item (2) above and instructed that any student with a pair of complete school uniform instead of two, should be admitted based on the economic situation and for the parents to meet up with other challenging demands in the society, though the decision was contrary to the tradition of the school but to serve as another means of cushioning the effects of hardship ravaging the nation at the moment

4. It was emphatically stated that St Monica’s school did not sell neither have the intention to sell any books of any kind be it Textbooks or Notebooks to any students as she had informed all parents to buy recommended books from any bookshops of their choices in line with the directives issued by the State government.
