As one of the foremost youth leaders and the present Coordinator of Ondo Ekimogun Safety Corps, I Comrade Felix Akinmoladun has dissociated myself from the about to start Hunger Protest.
This is not to say that I am not affected by the ongoing hardship in the community and Nigeria at large but past experiences about protests have indicated that it may be hijacked which may result in destruction of properties, vandalisation and possibly lost of lives.
I hereby appealed to the youths, Iyalojas and baba lojas to embrace dialogue and consultation as alternatives to the protests
Though, protest is a universal way of expressing displeasure or disapproval of policies, decisions and implementation of ideas contrary to the believes of the people conçern, which we all know will not give us the needed result in Nigeria contexts
However, I will also appealed to the government to do the needful in restoring better economic growth that will make life more meaningful to the people as well reduce the hunger and hardship in town.
Like one of my leaders will say “government should make our pain painless”
